How SocialCode checks restoration company information
SocialCode Directory editorial guidance. Editorial guidance reviewed October 28, 2026. Company availability and credentials require separate confirmation.
What does a listing mean?
A listing organizes reviewed public business facts. It is not a guarantee, background check, insurance verification or endorsement. We focus on independent restoration operators and exclude the large franchises and national chains outside our editorial scope.
Where does the information come from?
The company website, company-supplied information and appropriately permitted sources support individual facts. Profiles show source links and review dates. We do not treat social posts, a Google identity mapping or an unverified owner submission as proof of a license, certification, availability or quality.
What questions should a profile answer?
Homeowners need to know the property types served, work scope, emergency contact, documentation process, service area, credentials and payment or estimate arrangements. Missing information is marked as unconfirmed rather than filled with assumptions. Confirm the details for your own property directly.
What does claiming a profile do?
Claim and correction requests are free. An editor checks authority through a previously published company channel. A private request receipt only lets its holder check status; it does not grant ownership, editing access or advertising. Publication is a separate reviewed action.
Does paying change the facts?
No. Advertising does not purchase a favorable review, a certification badge, a better quality score or the removal of an accurate concern. Sponsored placements are labeled and must match the company's reviewed services and service areas. Free contact and factual corrections remain available.
How are errors and stale facts handled?
Use a profile's free update link to identify the fact, proposed correction and supporting public source. Do not submit private customer records. Review dates describe the actual source check, not an automatic refresh. Disputed, unsupported or outdated claims require rechecking before publication.
